Terms of service.
These terms apply when you request a quote from us, accept a quote, or engage us for emergency or supply-only work. By signing a written quote or instructing us to start work, you agree to these terms.
Definitions
"We", "us", "OneUnity" means OneUnity Bathrooms Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. "You" or "the client" means the person or entity engaging us. "The work" means the design, supply, installation, repair, or other service we agree to perform.
Quotes and contract
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless we say otherwise in writing. The price is fixed once you sign the written quote and pay any deposit set out in it.
A contract forms between us when you (a) accept the quote in writing, or (b) pay the deposit. Until then, no contract exists and either side may walk away.
Deposits and payment
Unless agreed otherwise, our standard payment schedule for full bathroom installs is:
- Deposit at sign-off, typically 25 percent of the quote.
- Stage payment when tiling begins, typically 50 percent of the quote.
- Balance within 7 days of handover.
We accept bank transfer and card. Late payment accrues statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 at 8 percent over the Bank of England base rate, where applicable.
Variations
Any change to the agreed scope, materials, or schedule is a variation. We will give you the cost and time impact in writing before we begin the variation. You confirm in writing or by reply email. Variations are added to the final invoice.
Workmanship guarantee
All installation work carries a two year workmanship guarantee from handover. If our workmanship fails inside that period we will return and fix it at our cost, on reasonable notice.
The guarantee does not cover: (a) damage caused by misuse, tampering, or third-party work after handover, (b) normal wear such as silicone deterioration or limescale, or (c) product defects covered by the manufacturer warranty (which we will help you claim).
Products and supply
Where we supply products on your behalf, manufacturer warranties pass through to you. We will provide receipts and warranty paperwork on handover. Made-to-order items (e.g. bespoke vanities) are non-refundable once ordered.
Emergency call-outs
Day-time call-outs start from from £50. Evening and weekend call-outs start from from £100 eve / weekend. The call-out fee covers up to one hour on site. If we complete the repair on the same visit, the call-out fee is redeemed against the repair invoice.
Parts are charged at cost plus our standard mark-up. We will always give you a fixed quote before starting any work beyond the call-out.
Access, safety and insurance
You agree to give us safe access to the property during agreed hours, to provide working utilities (power and water), and to remove valuables and breakables from the work area.
We carry public liability insurance up to £2 million and employers' liability insurance up to £10 million. Certificates available on request.
Delays beyond our control
We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including supplier shortages, late delivery of client-supplied items, structural surprises uncovered during the work, severe weather, or restrictions imposed by law. We will tell you as soon as possible if a delay arises and agree a revised timeline.
Cancellation
You may cancel a signed contract in writing within 14 days for a full refund of any deposit, less the cost of made-to-order items already ordered on your behalf, in line with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
After 14 days, deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel after we have started work, we will invoice for hours worked, materials used, and non-returnable items ordered.
Limitation of liability
Our total liability under any one contract is limited to the price you have paid us under that contract, except where law requires otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (for example, loss of use of the bathroom while remedial work is in progress) except where law requires us to be.
Complaints
We aim to resolve any complaint within 14 days. Please email oneunitybathroom@outlook.com with the quote reference, a description of the issue, and any photographs. We will reply within 5 working days.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any contract formed under them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes apply only to contracts formed after the effective date at the top of this page. Contracts in progress are governed by the terms in force when you signed them.
